Hello, my name is Zachari George and I'm representing SPII, Students for Peace in Iraq. I'm the music coordiantor for Indianapolis' first ever Peace Conference, to be held at Indiana University Purdue University in Downtown Indianapolis.
This is taking place March 18-20 2004. We are united firstly to end the war in Iraq. The scope of our organization is increasing to include ALL conflict involving warfare and it's social, economic, and psychological effects. We are not affiliated with any political group nor any religion, and are a diverse group of students, educators, and community members.
We are commited to action, awareness, and re-education.
On behalf of the group, and also those in the world (millions) who would like to see an end to this conflict, I'm asking the Beastie Boys to step up and be brave. Come to our Peace Conference and play. We've also invited Audioslave. This war has gone on too long for the wrong reasons. Let's do something about it. Let's get some NATIONAL attention AGAIN. I also have a petition to Congress to end the conflict and bring our troops home. So far, it has over 400 signatures and I'm contacting Senators as we speak to lobby for one to sign it. This petition will be hand delivered to Washington, with media attention. You would be such a force for change if you would do this for the world. Your influence carries much weight.
