Since Boomin's thread is locked, I'd like to say that most of the board (this is ALL new user's) do not realize how handy the Who's Online portion of the board is until you become a stalker. For all of us stalker's, please enable this, so that we can again start stalking. Thank you.

Minton, you do not realize how badly I need this reinstated...

The Who's Online allows you to see not only usernames of who is on the board, but what thread they are looking at, etc. It was great when this place was full of stalkers... most have been banned, but there are still a few of us around...

WOW!

*starts foaming at the mouth*

Cant you see who is in a particular forum by going to that forum?

sorry Im being a pain.

yes, you can see WHO is in the forum, but it allows you to see what specifically they are looking at, if they are sending a PM, if they are stalking as well on Who's Online, etc.... back in the day, when some of us were mods, we could see everyone's ip addresses too... ahh, those days...

i think minton is leaning toward keeping the stalking to himself, unfortunately...

It was easy to let us stalk when there were like 7 people online... now minton has to deal with hundreds at a time... harder to control the restraining orders and such with those numbers...

The "who's online" page is pretty scary shit if you ask me!

Anyone that doesn't know what it looks like...

This is the first one that shows up on google when searching for "vbulletin who's online".

Creepy creepy stuff.

I hope you aren't serious about "needing" this... :)

Other than for moderation purposes I can't think of a reason to have it :)

I mod a forum but have never needed it, although I might start using it now as I'd completely forgotten that it existed.

Again, I really can't see the use for it if you don't moderate :)

stalking others. but i know it's fun though, i used to do it.

but yeah, we'll have to keep an eye on the server side of things. when that option was enabled we had half the amount of members and usually around 50 online at the same time. aka "in between albums".

I think what tpk is trying to say that there are too many people now to have that option enabled. Plus all the nut-job-bush-supporter-stalker-type guys who might kill you or put u in jail, that joined since the new album.
careful what u say kll

Does it increase server load a lot then?

Like I said, I'll keep an eye on it and fix it as soon as we can handle it.

Isn't it enough when you can see on which forum anyone is? Then you can just check if they're posting anything.
Sometimes I do think someone is stalking me, they answer so quickly right after I've posted.

I suppose it's like a DISCO where you can see some because of the strobes but some are in the dark where the toilets are or lost in the bar crowd trying to get a beer (y)

that's it.

everyone, Patrik doesn't ever wash his hair. ever. he has a little colony of elves living in it that use his hair as a source of building material for their little shelters behind his ears. they wear dandruff vests and lice pants and they frolic between his follicles under the moonlit sky.

*sigh* it was highly entertaining to see what threads others were reading and replying to. it's more of a BFGD thing, you wouldn't understand :)

I know there's no privacy on the internet, but that sounds downright creepy.
