last saw the chaps at the last gig at Brixton in 1987, so 17 years later it is a very pleasant surprise to see:

Mike D now weighs no more than my left shoe
MCA was either drunk, stoned or bored out of his mind
Adrock has not aged a bit in 17 years and deserves a knighthood

whoever posted the setlist from the manchester show, thank you - they followed it to the letter but opened with Egg Man.

the crowd were very subdued as it appeared nobody had heard any Beastie track that had been made before 1999.....

but from the 3 grey haired twits in the pogo area, by thunder what a show. (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) :D

whaaaaaaaat? where the hell were you? In my section all the loudest cheers and the most erm... imaginative dancing was for the older stuff. Guess I was in the geriatric ward LOL

I was one of 3 grey haired twits stuck behind a wall of fat beer drinkers who tutted every time we started jumping about.

great gig, but it just seemed (where I was) that half the people didn't even know a single track.

and Mixmaster mike, good lord the man was on fire ("you need some sand" :D )

Absolutely, his bit near the beginning of the show (with liberal cutups of King of the Beats) was when it really kicked off atmosphere-wise.

MMM is a god! :)

during TK's set i thought it was quiet but thats expected, once the boys came on then as far as i could see everyone was loving it, one guy kept shouting "fight for your right!" in my ear, rather annoyingly. but i think everyone enjoyed themselves, anyone not?
