the Wembley gig was amazing , I seen them at reading 98 , Glasgow 99 , and Birmingham ’99 and that was the best gig so far i was a bit hesistant cause i thought the boys were pushing on but how wrong was i , the production with those screens was a better feature than the "in the round" series of gigs , for the money paid for the ticket they are amazing value 2hr show with alot of expensive production put in and kweli (prob the best undergound MC out there) supporting as well , just goes to show what they are all about and how they have survived all along ,now and always the fans first and then make the $$ once fans are satisfied
the big screens move around and the clips are excellent and the bit they showed of mmm being woken up at the start was class and really got the blood pumping ,
i went to see kayne west in dublin (i am from ireland) 2 weeks prior i went to see 2 shows in the one night , he was at the point which is like wembly arena and vicar st a small club with a capacity of about 600 and he wasnt a patch on the beastie boys he played for 55mins approx with no real heart in the performance and no one supporting him not even some some act from the rocafella label he was so lame compare to the beasties
, i am going to go to basel and milan as well and if Christmas wasn’t coming up id of gone to Brussels as well , I still don’t have a ticket for Basel but the im confident of getting one , cant wait Basel and Milan , hopefully the sound will be better for poor old talib kweli this time , just a few questions how does 1 get their face on the screens , i was at the wembley show early the last evening and did not see any of guys around with a video camera , but there were people beside up the front row that were on it , i want to get on for basel or milan , and also if anybody has got a spare ticket for basel or milan give me a shout , please!
p.s does anybody know what the obsession with the dizzee rascal look alike in the front row at wembley (he was in front of the george jetzon look alikewith the nasa helmut) mca was all salutes and the camera guy filmed him alot , just wondering , i was very jealous of him at the time
also when are the bboys gonna play ireland again , ??
