I thought I'd been to some good gigs but that one takes the mother fucking biscuit. I was more looking forward to Talib Kweli and he did not disappoint but the BEastie Boys just blew him away. Shocked and stunned, what more can I say?

no no, I believed it was spelled the correct way on the shirt of MCA (but my brother thought it was also spelled wrong , he thought it was baetsie boys)

on the rest of the shirts it was spelled like beatsie boys :D

how was the sound quality there? The HMH website was all over themselves promoting the quality of the venue. Since we didnt get the webcast, and no one has mention much about the sound...I was just wondering. There were various levels of quality in the sound between venues in the states. Did anyone tape?

excellent sound quality and we were standing directly under one of the hanging speaker stacks at the front right hand side of the stage. Been to a few gigs at the HMH, I thought Erykah Badu was a good night but these guys blew her away. I go to gigs regularly and also work as a DJ in clubs in London and Amsterdam and that night was the most awesome gig I have been to. It went off big style for the whole show. It will take a lot to top that, lucky I've got Kenny Dope to goto on Sat night.

yeah, are they your pics on the other thread? The good ones!! I thought when I saw them that they were taken by someone right next to us. I was with the pretty blonde who, against all my advice, wore boots with heels for the gig. Silly girl! I loved it when the bass was thundering through my body! KNow of any other good gigs coming up?

I must admit it made me laugh when the glass hit her, not because of the fact that she was hit in the head (because I absolutely loathe people that throw their drinks around at concerts) but because it made a funny noise :o

no she was fine, she's never rocked like that before at a gig though!! If you're ever out in AMsterdam then come down to ZUla or the Ebeling sometime, I DJ in those places although I play soulful house rather than hip-hop. Next on at Zula on 24th. Keny Dope on Saturday but back at the HMH tomorrow for the NIke party (I DONT WORK THERE!)

I am not back in the Ebeling until January (maybe for my 30th), the Zula is a pretty small, but very funky, bar on the Westerstraat. I work up in SLoterdijk at the Coengebouw so its pretty grim round here!

no you werent :P, i'm 14 ;). I was also right under the speaker, at the left side, but sometimes the bass was really too much :P, i stood against the fence, so I hadnt anybody in front of me, that was soo cool :D :D
