Because they're not big over here, because they aren't black and all 'tough'

its because, in the UK the singles chart is a load of crap and all the stuff in it is bought by young kids who don't know any better and stupid adults who really should know better, check out the UK album charts if ya wanna know what's doing well over here

well it's hardly gonna be the christmas number one, is it? there's too much shit being released that 7 year old girls and their mums buy to even give them a top 20 chance.

Ch-Check It Out got them a TOTP performance, all over Radio 1, so so play on TV and a number 8 spot on the charts. The UK charts are shit, but even so we all know An Open ltter To NYC is all in all a better tune than Ch-Checki Out.

It didn't get much radio play, and TV wise i barely saw the rather awesome video. However I believe this was partly due to most stations not taking it due to the LSD reference, as channels like Kerrang added it on the week of it's release with the LSD edited out, whereas MTV had the 'explicit' version and then switched over to the edit.

But yeah a mix of that and the radio thing basically meant the people who heard Ch-Check It Out didn't hear An Open Letter, thus it not selling terrifically well.

Those Capitol folk ought to have been shoving that song down everyones throats!

ok i ve done my research now, check it out was released in the uk 31st may 2004 and TT5B was released in the uk 14th june 2004 so here's my theory, those who were feelin check it out bought the single, saw the greatestness of the beasties, (which should have been already known) and when the album came out, bought that too, triple trouble and OLTNYC were both released after the album so those who already owned the songs on the album felt no need to buy them again, that is my theory as to why check it out sold well but triple trouble and OLTNYC did not
