I myself might have committed suicide in 1996 - broke, divorced and having given up all hope of making people listen -- had it not been for Gary Webb. For some years now it has been the farthest thing from my mind.
I rediscovered my purpose and maybe Gary lost his. This is a tragedy of Shakespearean proportions.
Sadly, few here will remember the significance of this man, at least the younger crowd.

He is an excellent example of what the system does to nails that stick out.

Last Night I spent a few hours going through Google News (http://news.google.com/news?q=gary%20webb&hl=en&lr=&sa=N&tab=wn) and reflecting on the how and why of his suicide , all I came up with was frustration and depression. RIP Gary Webb.
