correct spelling and grammar in thread titles. It still drives me NUTS after all this time!

I'm sure other people have more interesting pet peeves, but there you have mine. I'm a compulsive editor. :)

I'd crown myself the queen of stupid posts and ban myself for my own good. :(

Pedantic folks, such as yourself, should never EVER be on the internet. It must make your eyes bleed! :)

Well, I avoided the internet for a long time, but that's because I suck at technology. From my little bit of experience it seems like people on here are smarter than average. ???

Frankly, when you're as anal as me, it's a struggle to adapt to society in general.

I love that people are actually writing (in some form or another). I'm also aware that someday I might start a thread with a horrible error in the title and you might not delete it for me.

i see dozens of errors that irritate the hell out of me. i guess some homonym mistakes are understandable, ridiculous though they are. by far the most disgusting one is "should of." have! HAVE!!

One day vBulletin should include decent spelling and grammar checking similar to Microsoft Word. Until then, oh well.

YES!
That is so annoying.
Also, I can't believe how many people don't get when to use "you're" vs. "your." UGH.

I'd make damn sure Daisy was around forever, shutting down the threads that are "too stupid to live". (y)

(And Daisy, that's my favorite line from Cheers! How's that for an old-person reference? :D )
I love that she moves in just when I can't take it anymore. And she does it with such panache!

hey, dyslexia is totally understandable. but i'm willing to bet that most of the people that make these mistakes are not dyslexic, just ignorant...which may not necessarily be their fault, but it's still irritating as hell to read when you're as anal as we all obviously are :D

grammar errors are more painful than spelling anyway :)

^^ I think you're very articulate and I'm glad you can fix things. I wish I could.

I only have a thing about the thread TITLES. Go crazy inside the thread.

It seems like the thread titles that bug me are the ones that never go away. Not to point fingers, but for example: "Their all married".

Hooked on phonics or not, you still really know how to get your point across in a post. You are an ardent young woman, and you are going to turn out just fine. (As long as you keep skating, that is!!!)

And I just want to say thanks to all for never bashing me for my spelling and grammar errors, but instead being so subtle as to use my mispelled words correctly in the following post. (wints (y) )
And yes, I just looked up "ardent" for the correct spelling.

If you think this is bad... I mod a board with lots and lots of teenager talking in text speak, plus loads of chavs that end their posts with "innit".

I give people crap about it and I hate it when they answer things like "it's the internet, it's not like it's school!" or something...

Ah well... :)

edit: found an example:

the only time i rang up for help for a game was mgs1/the game which i always said to myself i wudnt play wen i got stuck was parastie eve but kept coming back /the game which suprised me bcoz everyone put it down in my skool was ff7...i was rpg crazy and the only other game that satified me was grandia

Basically I come here to actually enjoy myself :D

Modding is usually interesting and sometimes fun... but it becomes a bit too much sometimes.

I personally never get annoyed at people who are learning a language, what pisses me off are people that know how to write properly but don't do it because "It's just the internet".

So no apologies needed as far as I'm concerned anyway :)

It seems like those people created a new linguage!!
The internet linguage! :p
I guess this happens all over the world! (y)
