I felt that this would be the best page to post a spiritual viewpoint within the B-Boy Community. While my comments aren't directed at a Tibetan topic, they are rooted in Tibetan Philosphy, I think.

My subject is an overview of the expansion of conciousness I have seen in the last few years. 2004 being the most aware so far. I look back at the earthquake that occured in Iran during Christmas 2003 and I see a connection to the one that just occured in S. East Asia during Christmas 2004. From here I see a larger connection with, Islamic and Buddhist cultures being helped by Judeo-Christian Cultures. I have my own thoughts and fears about the coming times, but I will not magnify them through speech.

Rather I see an opportunity for the global society to recognize that their are inherent flaws with the way we treat the environment and now Mother and Father Nature are ready to purge the pollution themself. Negative thoughts, actions, and industries will not be tollerated. They will be dealt with accordingly. Through compassion we will be lead away from war into a process of peace. We are entering a great time of global humilty.

Stay rooted in your local enviroment and work to sustain it's biodiversity. These are the actions that are needed most. Breathe pure love into every action, interaction, and reaction.

Be well,
Yokim

... by killing 100,000 people? I think your logic is flawed.

I am not stating that 100,000 dead civilians from a tsunami or a the Iraq war is a good thing. Rather I am looking at the intentions of my gov't and how they claim there to be an axis of evil, or underlying tensions that are dangerous to our global society. This I find to be false.

I feel that the earthquakes are having the international community focus it's resources on more positive actions than chasing the bogeyman(terrorist.) It is sad that these events have occured. We are undergoing a dynamic shift in understanding global suffering.

I live in Pittsburgh, PA and we were recently hit by Hurricane Ivan, September 18th, 2004. That's right, hundreds of miles inland we had flooding that surprised everyone, wiping out the cores of many communities. Many people are still coping with the changes, yet I believe that they are more aware of the environment.

What do you mean by the above?

The answer you provide is what I am trying to say to you.

I don't know, I feel like the earth is telling us to listen, I mean really listen. We need drastic changes, but what are they? How will we enstill peace in this century that is quickly happening?

The whole thing about negative emotions and pollution not being tollerated, well. I feel like we ae in the beginning years of the ecologic century. It started in the seventies and now with the momentum of the new century and millenium we can really make strides towards it. Through ecology I see a process of peace. A moment of recognizing where you are and not wanting anything more. Over the coming years I feel like there will be many ecological catastrophes that will awaken human compassion. This will be happening a the level where the current generations will renew connections to their heritage and common bonds of all.

Surely social events are created to try to change society. Yet there is nothing more life affirming than the humility of the earth, and its power that we all share.

I absolutely agree! I like amyn others spent a lot of time in thought as to the whys and reasons behind the latest tragedy and truly believe that it is mother earths way of crying for attention and help! I hope the global community listen. I was reading that there is some celstial backing to the disasters as well but i guess we will see. NEVER FORGET THE POWERS OF THE EARTH!!

Peace

Natural disasters occur all the time. I don't think it is right to refer to the recent tragedies as mother nature's way of punishing humans for their lack of environmental awareness. Disturbing the balance of mother nature somewhere does not equate to an occurance of an earthquake/tsunami/hurricane/tornado elsewhere.

However, there are more subtle actions that mother nature carries out in order to "re-balance" the eco system. We should be more aware of these consequences. Has anyone heard of the butterfly effect?
