beasties at the BDO (timetable annonunced..and it sucks)

Just saw the Big Day Out timetable and i reckon it sucks.

Instead of beasties headlining - like they are everywhere else - in sydney the chemical bros. are headlining not only the main stage...but also the Boiler room via a tv.

that really sucks...just let beasties headline, and put the chemical bros in the boiler room. Anyone who had a clash with wanting to see them both (like i did) could have bought a side show ticket (like i did) to the Beasties!!!

Sometimes they have to timetable events in a certain way to meet local government requirements regarding staggering traffic and so on.

It can suck, but it happens all the time at these sorts of events.

it makes complete sense.. the boiler room is too small for the chemical brothers audience.. and i'd say there's a significant overlap of fans of both bboys and the chems (i know i am).. I'm happy now i get to see both at the bdo (and I also have tickets to the bboys sideshow)

beastie boys are headlining.. the headline act is the first on the list not the last one to play on the night. if that were the case then regurgitator would be headlining since they finish after the chems

im a bit disappointed because ill miss the streets as ill be staying on the stage which had system of a down during the alternate pwderfinger period so that i cant get to the front for the beasties. and i thought the hives would be later. but oh well, itll be a great day no matter what, im just trying to see as many international acts as i can.

yeah i dont like the timetable either coz not only do i have to find my way to the many stages i have to miss out on many bands to get a good position to see beasties, and im not looking forward to system of a down coz their fans scare me. what time is everyone getting there.

im only seriously interested in seeing, like 3 bands there: SOAD, beasties, and hilltop hoods. everyone else; i havent really heard them so.....

arent the blue and orange stage next to each other, so you can just see the chemical bros straight after the beasties? thats what im doing. i was bummed about not being able to see the streets cos i have to be up the front for the beasties. but i can see the streets in melbourne! woohoo! does anyone else think it slightly obsessive to see the beasties 4 times while they're out here? im going to sydney and melbourne bdo's and both side shows.

No doubt about it. If I had to see anyone headline ahead of the Beasties they;d be one of the few groups I wouldn't mind.

I'm gonna see the chemical brothers for the last hour of melbourne after the beasties are finished. I wanna see hey boy hey girl, block rocking beats, get yourself high, star guitar and a few others. The other big draw cards for me are dallas crane (best live band seriously they kicked ass at merideth), the donnas, the ground components (cos i know em), the music and the hives. I wish rocket science were playing, their sets at livid 2003 and merideth 2004 were psychadelic :D

You know what sucks though, all my friends are 17/dont like the beastie boys so at the sideshow several of my mates are going but they are all in seats and i am on the floor by myself :(
