Not only are they sure there weren't any, but they aren't going to keep looking anymore either.

More evidence that Bush never makes mistakes.

Especially when it was all bullshit to begin with. The only way to be so unflappable in the face of so much conjecture is to be complicit in it from the beginning.

You might have won this round of hide-n-go-seek Saddam. BUT YOU WILL LOSE THE WAR! Or trial, whatever.

Keep up will ya

I love the timing of this as well. As if they hadn't already given up months ago.
We wouldn't want as much national coverage for Chertoff as Gonzales got now would we. Let's give them something else to scrutinize.

Nah, not under the cover of night, they just traveled the long way around the oil wells.

I'm glad this didn't ruin Bush's re-election. All those party are expensive to plan.

Eh, while we're there we might as well give 'em some good ol' democracy and strike up an oil economy with them....least that way it's not a total loss, yuk, yuk, yuk

well, here's how it is. if you're a kid in your room and your mom says "I'm coming up there to search for weed in three days!" you're going to get rid of or move your weed.

Of course that's what mom says, she knows my whole room is constructed of heroin before she hits the first step, a little weed was never her concern. See she has a hell of a monkey on her back.

Like they did out of Al Qataa? Despite it being there when the US invaded, still sealed under UN orders and all in correct order. And yet it NOT being there after the US had taken control of it.

Still, of course, how silly of us. The WMDs that no-one really believed were there, that the UN groups scouring the country for the decade following the Gulf war couldn't find, that the US went in strictly to find, etc etc. They all were *moved*

And the US military satellites didn't notice anything, they were all too busy relaying information on how to rig the US elections...

And the US went into a war which even a kid in his room trying to hide weed would've been able to say would be a pointless waste of time.

And all these WMDs that there is no actual evidence for, that the British government have stated "never existed" (Not 'were merely not discovered') etc are currently sitting in Syria, waiting to get moved to every other country in the middle-east as the US goes to war again and again in an effort to find them.

Well, just so long as the US troops concentrate on securing the nations' oil ministries at all costs, disregarding the likely locations of WMDs, the US will be fine no doubt, all thanks to their great leaders Cheney and Bush.

Yeah, because you can actually hide an infrastructure consisting of factories and supporting equipment under the floortiles.

So the Tooth Fairy was kept captive in Iraq. Oh, what do you mean you can't find her! Oooh, they moved her. Well that explains everything.

Moron. Go smoke some more weed, it might reverse your stupidity, or make you a funny moron, not just an annoying one.

Well, if you think about it... this is the same country that let 2 commericial jets fly unseen in our own airspace, through our own buildings, in our own damn planes. It's not hard to believe they could have moved all of the supposed WMDs under military surveillence. Just paint them like Boeing 747s.

Fox, CNN, MSNBC - All of them should be ashamed of themselves. For MONTHS there was day to day coverage of 'what could their weapons do' and 'how far can they strike'... 'are they a threat to the US' - all the messages the Bush administration WANTED you to hear. Did they stop to actually investigate it? No. All they were doing was repeating a lie, and doing so in a manner that made MILLIONS of Americans feel threatened by "WMD" - the imminent "mushroom cloud" that was going to appear over Your City, USA. Where is the credibility? How did internet bloggers and writers know what corporate media didn't? Maybe it's their spending and research budgets. (Insert Laugh) Billions in corporate dollars versus pocket change and common sense. How much sense does that make?

OK, so they never existed, but they were moved...

Top Bush administration officials have speculated publicly that chemical, biological or radiological weapons may have been smuggled out, and the question is one of the unresolved issues on WMD. The report is due next month.

A special adviser to the CIA director, Duelfer declined an interview request through an agency spokesman. In his last public statements, he told a Senate panel in October that it was unclear whether banned weapons could have been moved from Iraq.

"What I can tell you is that I believe we know a lot of materials left Iraq and went to Syria. There was certainly a lot of traffic across the border points," he said. "But whether in fact in any of these trucks there was WMD-related materials, I cannot say." http://www.bergen.com (http://www.bergen.com/page.php?qstr=eXJpcnk3ZjczN2Y3dnFlZUVFeXkyNCZmZ2Jl bDdmN3ZxZWVFRXl5NjY0MTIzNSZ5cmlyeTdmNzE3Zjd2cWVlRU V5eTI=)

Sounds like somebody's gearing up to invade Syria.

Dude, it wasn't the WMDs we were after.. He was cavorting with TERRORIST!! CAVORTING I TELLS YAH!!

Also, we should calculate how far these giant WMDs could have been dragged from the point of origin. Create a radius, and invade every country in that radius.

Or maybe... there was a secret space program.... and the WMDs could have been moved to Mars.
Suddenly GWBs plans are making more and more sense.
