The last paragraph is very alarming. It would seem to indicate we are already too late (http://www.nrdc.org/globalWarming/qthinice.asp)


Even the most pessimistic forecasts of global warming may now have to be drastically revised upwards.

That means a temperature rise of 10 degrees Celsius by 2100 could be on the cards, giving the UK a climate like that of North Africa, and rendering many parts of the world uninhabitable.

Indeed. I think it is saying nothing new in science terms though. Scientists have been warning about this for ages, and saying "this is not good!" and politicians have said "pollution, caused by our extravagent policies? Nah... Look, we have these state sponsored scientists who look at a thermometer regularly and say 'Yeah, it's hotter, but that doesn't MEAN anything. It has to be hotter for centuries before it is substantial!"

Here we are, decades later "Oh, it's even hotter than we expected, but it doesn't MEAN anything..."

It explains a lot of these weather phenomenons as well. Right now there are blizzard conditions in the west and mid-west (US), here on the east coast it was 72 degrees today. In fact it has been in the 70's for the last two weeks. Unusual January weather to say the least.

We had consistent record breaking high temperatures for January here in Virginia all last week....

Lots of record breaking weather events, that people with an agenda are trying to tell us are "just coincidence."

Yeah, it is coincidence that scientific theories are predicting events which are transpiring.
