P-
What do you think of the lomo? I was thinking about getting one but hadn't heard anybody's take on any of the models.

i have the lomo lc-a and i love it. it's pretty much the basis of the lomographic society. it's an easy camera to use, and you can get any result with it. it's small and looks nice.

most of the other cameras are just cheap plastic ones, and a lot of them are the ones that take 4 or 9 pictures on one frame. and others are extemely old and overpriced russian or ukranian slrs. everything on the lomography site is extremely overpriced.

i want to get a holga too, a medium format camera. it's about the only other lomo-endorsed camera that i would buy.

edit: i actually want a smena, too (if you know how to shoot a manual)

i can't wait to get a medium format. i'm addicted to printing at 16x20 :o

check out freestyle for holga stuff. they're all about it.

i almost picked up one of these (http://polaroids.theskeltons.org/d135.htm) at a thrift store for $50 today. complete with case and bulbs and everything. hopefully they'll reduce it soon...

yeah, there's just four different distance settings and that's all you have to do.

there's an aperature setting too, but i don't really know how to use it (it's always on automatic)

you can do multiple exposures with a lc-a, but you have to learn a few tricks on rewinding film. there are sites that tell you how to do it.

the pop 9 is a little plastic camera that takes 9 shots on every frame, lc-a takes just one.
