Hey. I acquired this album maybe a month ago and it has a lot of really cool Beastie Boys remixes on it. I'm just wondering if anyone else has heard of this or can give me a little more info on who Dr. Numbers is and if he has any other mix albums out. Thanks.

It's a good album - but I have to say I like the New York State of Mind - Dj Green Lantern - album way better. The intro song is amazing and the remix of Triple Trouble to the music of White Lines by Grandmaster Flash is amazing.

my fav's on the Dj Numbers album - is the remix of hey ladies - and it has "stick em up" with adrock & hurricane - and "dope little song" which are both awesome.

I'll tell you why I didn't buy it, and threw it out when I eventually downloaded it.

If I remember it right, all of the acapellas on there are sync'ed to beats that don't match up even halfway right. The rest of it is just bootlegged tracks off regular singles and albums. Nothing is really rare on there. The worst remix you could find on this website would kick the shit outta that DJ Numbers CD.

I'm no snob, but if the beats don't match up right, I can't listen to it. No exceptions.

I thought it was bootleg bullshit at it's worst.

Just my opinion. If it sounds good to you, then go for it.

Green Lantern's album is a prime example of how you should remix/mash up songs. Everything fits perfectly. The beat choices are a little suspect in areas, but it beats anything I could come up with on my own at this time.

This mixtape really sucked! The timing was horrible the vocals are way of beat. This was a total waste of six bucks and I would not recommend this cd to anybody. This garbage makes the green lantern mixtape look really good. (n)

Yeah, basically what I said. Green Lantern's mixtape stands up by itself though, I don't think you can front on the sound. Everything was tight on that CD, just some of the tracks he chose didn't really fit the mood of the song he was mixing. All in all I liked GL's mix quite a bit.
