Ellen DeGeneres has a new segment on her talk show where she encapsulates the previous day's show in a 60-second clip. The intro music for the segment is Ch-Check it Out, and today Ellen was sort of jerking her head around to it.

Also, while I'm on the topic of Ellen DeGeneres' talk show, a while ago (first season) she had a game "Hip Hop or Not" where audience members had to guess whether rhymes were from actual hip-hop songs or written by her staff. One of them was "I've got the depth of perception in my text y'all." I forget whether the person guessed correctly, but Ellen said "That's Beastie Boys" afterward.

I'm still waiting for them to appear on her show. She said recently she's tired of her dance moves and wants to learn some new ones. Think of all the moves our guys could teach her. (y)

So I was mistaken about what the segment is, it's called "Clip of the Day" and it was just on Friday that she encapsulated the previous day's show, because it was pre-empted by the inauguration. Today it was a moon-walking bird. After Ch-Check it Out was played (more head-jerking to the music) she said "Soothing!"

I hope so! :D

She knows her music, she's from New Orleans! She even got Prince to come on and sit for an interview. You had to lean real close to hear what he said, but I was amazed.
