Of course. I'll be there with TPK covering photos and hopefully a short video or two. We've providing full coverage here at BeastieBoys.com for the rest of the tour.

these side shows are side shows of the big day out festival concerts they're doing in australia.

just got back from the sydney one and it was nuts. personally think it was a great show, best i've seen in a while.

as for pictures, we took a lot of them for tonight's show so it's just a matter of going through them now and put up the very best. i know people are really into the backstage photos but unfortunately not much of that was caught this time. better next time i promise. but it doesn't matter though cause the pictures from the show are awesome. watch out for them in the tour blog (http://www.beastieboys.com/blog/). jamie will do an entry pretty soon and then pictures will be up.

Awesome show, very energetic and they played some awesome old stuff.Opening with "Egg Man" and 'Brass Monkey" ruled cause it was so unexpected.I enjoyed the instrumental section as well, despite what some seemed to think anyway. They also played about the right balance of new stuff and old material. It was far better than their BDO set and was about on par with when I saw em' in '99.

What I saw of Scribe was shite, how that guy is so popular is beyond me.

I agree that this show was tight. Easily one of the best I've seen, and I've seen a lof of Beastie Boys shows.

Scribe was disappointing. He played the same song twice in his set. That's wack, no matter what. Aside from that though, he's just flat in general. He needs to work on every aspect of what he's doing if he wants to keep doing it and have people pay him for it.

Yeah, I think one was meant to be a remix version with all his crew, but it's still pretty shit considering he didn't perform all that many songs. He was actually better than I expected though I guess. Not very good or anything but it could have been worse. Maybe the beer helped.

What we couldn't understand down at our end was why the intro for an opening act went on for what felt like 20 minutes -- with just the lights and DJ and everyone looking around for him. I kind of wondered if it was like the old SNL skit where Elvis's jacket goes on tour. :D

Brass Monkey. That funky monkey! The setlist was PERFECTION! The instrumental part was AWSOME and their suits were amazing (they knew). I just loved their energy throughout the show. BEASTIE BOYS F**KING ROCK!

i wasn't too keen on scribe to begin with, but now i just think he is downright crap. and playing the same song twice...well that's just dumb.

oh by the way minton, i'm kaz, kezz's sister. it was really nice to meet you the other day!

That was just teh DJ working up the crowd, I don't think it worked.

omg Documad we saw you walking inside the building and we yelled out but you kept walking and then we didn't see you again after that omg.

You're both very, very sweet. I felt 100 years old until the Beastie Boys came out and then it was all worth it! I met a guy ahead of me in line and we were trying to hustle to the barrier.

I wonder what you were yelling because my screen name is complete nonsense, and even if I heard yelling, I'd never have dreamed it was for me!

I looked for you both afterwards in case you wanted a ride in my expensive cab, but I guess that with the drama you stayed inside a while. That's just so sad! I only brought my ticket and cabfare back to the hotel.

It was great meeting you both. I hope I see you in Melbourne!

Nice to meet you too, are you going to the Melbourne sideshow? Anyway, I'm tired. Time to get some sleep.
