1: Admit that the U.S is powerless over it's Middle-Eastern Oil addiction, to a point where it's nearly unmanageable.

2: Come to believe that a more rational than the current U.S Government can restore you to your sanity.

3: Make a decision to turn your will and political support over to that other power.

4: Make a searching and fearless moral inventory of yourself.

5: Admit to yourself, your friends and colleagues, and your elected officials faults in your society that make this oil addiction stronger, and ask that they admit it too.

6: Become entirely ready to have this addiction removed from you.

7: Remove any perceived shortcomings that may stand in the way of this necessary process.

8: Make a list of all the countries and environments harmed by the addiction to oil, and become willing to make amends to them.

9: Made direct amends to such countries and environments wherever possible, except when to do so would be to prop up or benefit Dictators or Regimes in those areas.

10: Continue to make personal inventory of your actions in pursuit of middle eastern oil, and when they are harmful, cease and admit to them.

11: Seek through discussion and agreement countries with oil, to share these resources, according reasonably to needs, fairly and peaceably.

12: Having defeated your addiction to middle eastern oil, go out in the world and show other countries how they can do the same, helping them as this has helped you.

Bonus 13 Step: You do NOT talk about Fight Club.

i'm cool with those.^

8: Make a list of all the countries and environments harmed by the addiction to oil, and become willing to make amends to them.

fuck that....they would have done the same if they had the power and ability....don't kid yourself.
power corrupts all to a degree.
you must pay the cost to be the boss.....and everybody wants to be the boss!

9: Made direct amends to such countries and environments wherever possible, except when to do so would be to prop up or benefit Dictators or Regimes in those areas.

well, i agree with the "no dictator" thing to a extent.
but no....nasty things must be done to remain on top. deal with the reality of what is required for you to have all the securities and oppurtunities and nice materialistic things you possess.
and yes, i'm looking at YOU!

10: Continue to make personal inventory of your actions in pursuit of middle eastern oil, and when they are harmful, cease and admit to them.

kinda redundant.

11: Seek through discussion and agreement countries with oil, to share these resources, according reasonably to needs, fairly and peaceably.

what are you smoking/injecting/snorting?

please share with the rest of the class.

12: Having defeated your addiction to middle eastern oil, go out in the world and show other countries how they can do the same, helping them as this has helped you.
