The killing of a 10-year-old Palestinian girl, shot dead in the playground of her school in southern Gaza yesterday, threatened to undermine a tentative truce after Hamas blamed the Israeli army and retaliated by firing mortars into a Jewish settlement.

Noran Iyad Deeb was shot in the face as she lined up for assembly at the UN-run school in Rafah refugee camp. A second girl was hit in the hand.

Palestinian officials blamed Israeli troops. The UN said it could not identify the source of the gunfire for certain but that shooting was heard from the direction of Israeli posts in the militarised border area.

After investigating, an army spokesman said: "According to our examination, the girl apparently was not shot by Israeli army gunfire."

You guys complain about US in Iraq and all of the corruption there... I assure you, thats not where the worst of it is. whats going on there pales in comparison to this.

I gonna tell a story which really has nothing to do with anything but my dads a cop and has to deal with this shit:
So yesterday a 18 years aboriginal kid was shoot, he was robbing something and stealing cars and shit, so the cops see him and he runs away and the kid has a knife and made violent actions towards the cop. The cop pulls out his gun because I mean the kid trying to stab him. Well they fight a bit and the kid ends up getting shot, I believe he died.
Now today it’s all over the news and the first thing outta people mouth is that it had to do with his race, I really pissed because this is bullshit. If it was some white kid nobody would be making this big of a deal. So now theirs this huge hubbub about this shit and all the aboriginal community has their knickers in a knot. Am I the only one who sees something wrong with this?
I’m sure I’m bias cause my dads a cop but sill.

Yeah, they would be the Natives that inhabited Canada before the Europeans moved in. Same as in the States.

When I say "dirty natives" -- this is referring to a prevalent dynamic in Canadian society. It's very common to see bums on the street and beggars being predominantly native, basically living in the gutter. The same as black people in the inner cities of America, except Canada doesn't have very many black people. :p

As for the "First Nations" thing, it's just another synonym for "aboriginal" and "native" round these parts. It more refers to all the individual tribes.
