Beastie Boys To The 5 Boroughs
Jay-Z The Black Album

Triumph the Insult Comic Dog:
To the 5 Boroughs. The Grammys will look great next to the Beasties' bedpans.

I was all bummed until I read it again and saw it was Triumph.
But they did get some love from Fergie....if it makes a difference.

I was so surprized even to hear they got a Best Rap Album nod. I mean of course I wasn't THAT surprized, they do kick ass after all....but just to be one of the top 5 rap albums of the year, must be such an honor. Personally, I think them winning in 1999 for Hello Nasty was totally perfect. I mean out of all their albums I have to say - that one is a true masterpiece. Not to put down this one or anything, I'm just saying....

Triumph said who shouldn't win in the rest though, he actually gave props but had to bring up the fact that they're older than everyone else in their category.

yup.....aka the Philly Phantom......lived and breathed hiphop......i went to college with him.......dj'ed at the radio station with him.......we'd skip class to hit the studio.....me on the mic; him on the wheels.......
