1 cup of rice
1 whole red onion
4-5 cloves
1/2 teaspoon of fresh cilantro
1/2 teaspoon of fresh thyme
1/2 teaspoon of fresh rosemary
2 cups vegetable or chicken broth
fresh cracked pepper (to taste)
kosher salt (to taste)
3/4 cups of peas
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
1 tablespoon of (fresh) ginger paste
1 tablespoon of (fresh) garlic paste
cut that onion up lengthwise...and fry that jonx in the vegetable oil, up until its slightly browned.
throw that in some rice (that has been soaking in some water for about 15 minutes (to get rid of that extra starch)) and everything else.
Instead of boiling your rice in water, use vegetable broth, or chicken broth.
cook up the rice ( i use a rice cooker).
sit back and wait for it to finish....and enjoy.
This recipe lacks protein...but damn does it taste good.
chefs note: I made up the measurements for you all...i usually just guesstimate and it turns out bonerific.
