The pieced-together drum loop is dope. The vox takes me back, even though
they were still using it on Ill Communication. I agree about the beat, people
don't switch the beat up enough on their mixes sometimes. Nice work

I tried about a dozen different tricks and fills, but
eventually I dropped them and slammed in this basic beat.

With the fills and stuff you just couldn't hear the Boys at all.
Even now it's getting pretty hard to hear them. Besides,
the more complex rhythm distracted too much from the
vocals, and I didn't want a mix where the music was
compiting with the lyrics.

When they work and flow together, the remix is more ... ahm ...
