One of the last photos I have of my mom and me together before she died (suddenly) was when I was a senior in high school and we were giving roses to our moms at our championship basketball game. There's a shot of me handing the rose to her and she looks so happy and touched. It's sweet and was published in the senior yearbook. I hated the photo at the time--my skirt wasn't right looking (the things you obsess about as a 17-year old). Now I cherish that photo.

i was in drama for the first two years, though...then i was a snooty Peer Counselor. we'd claim that our significant others were our "clients" and pull them out of class for "counseling" sessions. oh, i was in water polo for the first two years, too. not because i wanted to be. bleh. i was running from practice at 5:30 am...then school...then frosh and JV games...then karate...then rehearsal. people, never force your kids to do or be something they don't want to.
