such a brilliant idea.

when i was little, my mom would make them for me and we called them "oodles of noodles". we never used the flavor packet because i didn't like it, so she'd just drain the noodles and put a little bit of butter and parmesan cheese on the top.

i haven't had them in years, but i tried it again the other day.. and used the beef flavor stuff.. and now it's totally my favorite thing in the world to eat at home.

[yeah. i have a feeling that i'll do just fine when i move out...]

That's exactly what my mom would do too. I didn't like the flavor packets, so she would put her own stuff on. I loved it. Those were the days.

i had seen a couple kids just sitting there, eating the dry noodles right out of the package, and i wondered how someone could eat raw noodles... then i saw sarah eating them like that about a month ago, and i tried it once when i was really hungry, and it wasn't that bad. hahahahaha.

The top shelf of my son's dorm bookshelf is lined with several varieties and makes of processed ramen noodles. I guess that's better than empty beer cans. :)

Did you guys know that there are ramen restaurants? I was amazed when someone took me to a ramen restaurant cuz I'd always associated ramen with the 10cent variety that got me through college. It's even better at a restaurant! (y)

ramen noodles arent that spectacular...i mean...any noodle place does basically the same thing just with other toppings. broth is the cheapest

We had "Iron Chef" ramen noodle night at my house. We each made a dish with ramen noodles as the main ingredient (I can't cook, so I just added marinara sauce to mine). We had Pad Thai and a dessert where my friend used cruncy ramen noodles as the topping. We filmed it and everything. Awesome.

i'm not much of a cook, but i like to eat. so the easiest stuff i find are those ramen noodles! i like the beef flavored kind. i scramble an egg and pour it in when the noodles are already done and let the egg cook in the broth and swirl it around. it's good actually. and it's kinda like egg drop soup.

For the longest time, drained noodles with the packet was the only way I had them. I didn't know people kept the water in there and ate it as soup. I though you were supposed to drain them, like spaghetti. I don't use the flavor packets now. I just add some soy sauce and ginger and garlic.

Seriously? I had no idea about that. Do all of their entrees have Ramen noodles in them??

I pretty much hate Ramen now after eating it so much in college. That and boxed mac 'n' cheese.

Yo, at the asian fish market & grocery in tampa's little chinatown, they have this uber-spicy tasty ramen with TWO packets of flavoring and a packet of flavored oil. TASTY.

I hover the SuperNoodles packet over the saucepan and it melts and shrinks. Thus keeping the rectangular shape of the packet and the SUPERNOODLES picture, end result being a mini packet. Yeah, I'd give it to the little kids to put in their pretend shopping basket.

Good times, good and bored times.

I eat 'em raw and sprinkle the seasoning packet onto them for flavouring. :)

Sometimes I splash out and put some frozen vegetables in the water just before it starts boiling (sometimes even before the water starts boiling, depending on the size of the veg) and then add the noodles. Get some more nutrition I think....

i ate a ton of ramen when i was in college, and i still love it to this day. funniest thing i ever saw anyone do with it though was taking the noodles straight out of the package and smearing them with peanut butter and just eating that as a meal. that way, you can mix up the seasoning packet as a meal later on.
