SARBAGH, Iran (AP) - A powerful earthquake toppled mud-built homes and flattened villages in central Iran on Tuesday, killing at least 270 people and injuring 950, officials and state-run television said. A senior official said the death toll could top 350.

TV footage showed residents frantically digging through piles of debris looking for loved ones following the 6.4-magnitude earthquake, which struck at 5:55 a.m. While homes made of mud collapsed, buildings of cement appeared not to sustain heavy damage.

It could be very political. Bush could send aid in order to get in good with Iran, or the World in general.

Besides what does drugs have to with politics?

I was just wondering what your angle was.

It might be a good gesture to send aid to Iran but the Iranians (and the rest of the planet) will be wondering what's in it for Bush.

it was a nuclear bomb being tested.....

I was just wondering what your angle was.

With the tsunami a little while ago nobody thought anything of all of the people going to help and sending money. If the US barges into Iran there will be quite a few people doubting the US's intentions.
