my sister in law works for a dermatologists office and they do botox treatments. they give you specific instructions of what you're supposed to do afterwards. some lady came in for a treatment, went home and took a nap. when she woke up she thought she had a stroke because one side of her face was drooping down and she had no feeling in her face at all.

but yeah....it's totally worth it. :rolleyes:

her lips are fuller....but she likely uses BeeVenom, not collegan.

BeeVenom is all the rage now in LA....it's actual bee venom that you put on your lips- it causes an allergic reaction and makes them swell and look glossy and full. apperantly it hurts like hell, but works real good.

Hi I'm a geek and I work in a clinic where we do all of these types of injections.

to set the record straight: BOTOX IS NEVER USED IN THE LIPS. botox is basically a from of Botchilism and it causes paralysis of the facial muscles. So if you put it in your lips it will paralyse them and you'll drool like an idiot.

you can also use collagen to fill in lines around the mouth and the eyes. Collagen can be injected in to many more places than botox can.

ps: collagen is really really painful when injected in to the lips. I have several patients who tried it and say they will NEVER get it done again because it is extremely uncomfortable for several days afterwards. I hate jessica simpson and love to talk trash about her...but I would bet that she is too much of a whimp to handle collagen lip injections, so that probably isn't what she's using. there are cosmetics that plump the lip, though not as dramatically as an injection.
