This PBS special called A Company Of Soldiers (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/company/) already aired once yesterday but they will re-air it again on Thursday (see schedule). You can also watch it and other PBS shows online (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/view/).
The "dirty words" thing concerns the fact that as reported by the Houston Chronicle, the local PBS station KUHT is going to air the unedited version which contains 13 expletives. PBS the network offers a sanitized version if one of its affiliates doesn't want to rock the boat. But the article goes on to remind the reader that the FCC is on the lookout for offensive programming and PBS won't be able to help KUHT if the FCC comes after them.
KUHT is the oldest PBS station in the nation, so I figure they feel they have earned the right to do this* and while to some this foul word issue may seem trivial, the fact that they have the guts to do this makes me feel better about America & humanity in general.
Coming up: The Soldier's Heart (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/heart/), a show about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
* Boston's WGBH and Seattle's KCTS are also airing the unedited version.
