Anyone heard these guys?

Some of their lyrics are a bit dodgy, and the lead singer's voice is a bit annoying at first, but after a few listens to this album I can't put it down.

Oh and the lead singer has a transsexual boyfriend in case you have any doubts about how rock n roll these guys are.

They are shit. I can't see them being around for longer than 6 months.

You two hate everything anyway.

I never said they were great, I just like them because they make a lot of noise.

Not everything mate. ;)

Just haven't been impressed with The Others at all. There are a lot of people that think they're crap. It's just taste, I suppose. Another band to add to the growing numbers of bands the NME will adore. Though, they do like some good bands in most cases.

(Apart from Bloc Party, who I'll be the first to admit, aren't my bag at all)

Let me guess, another british NME band? Something like the Libertines, or at least some half assed revival of something? Full of hip retro chic?

Not exactly. They are revival yup - they're going for a late 70s UK punk sound, but there's no chic there. They are so rough around the edges that you could shave with them. There's no scarves or messanger bags surrounding this one.

Oh and in case anyone was wondering, because I always seem to like these "hyped up NME bands" - I don't read NME. You couldn't force me to read NME if you held a gun to my head. I'd rather take the bullet.

I don't need ANY magazine to tell me what to buy. I find out about an artist, download some of their songs, and if I like 'em, I buy the album. And NME are bound to cover bands such as the Libertines. What, you expect them NOT to print news articles on one of the UK's biggest bands?

Yeah, that'll work.

I don't like their music, but the singer is a nice guy.
