Red state. And it's not uncommon to overhear people here complaining about the "colored folk" and "jews". :(

Blue, very blue. But mainly because of Western Washington and Seattle-Tacoma-Olympia-Bellingham population base.

Eastern Washington has once again recently begun rhetoric about receding from Western Washington to become the 51st ST (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/n/a/2005/02/23/national/a005449S09.DTL&type=printable).

We have the first combination of 3 Women in power of a State, Governor - Christine Gregoire, U. S. Senator - Maria Cantwell, U. S. Senator - Patricia Murray...all democrats. Hell yes, we are Blue as they come. (y)

Red. Very, very red. You can't go more than a couple of miles without passing at least five churches.

blue state.....but very segragated (in the political sense).
obviously the southern NYC area is pretty liberal and votes a such....

but upstate NY is surprisingly mixed.....alot a bumhick land....parts of upstate feel like the back woods of west virginia.

hell, we have republican governor.

my city (rochester) is predominantly blue/liberal (highest gay per-capita next to San fran).

I live in a blue state, blue county, blue city, blue neighborhood. Thank goodness.

I have a good friend who has lived in the heart of a red state, county, city, and neighborhood. She, being true-blue, said that it was surreal and would never do it again.

We have churces all over the place, only a few corporate churches, the ones with big screens and simulcasts on cable TV etc. Most the church goers' up here in my town they,....well,....they fucking hate Bush.

It is strange to me how anybody could keep a straight face and support the various agendas of GWB. I work with one guy who does, he's slightly hypocritical and one of the laziest guys I've ever worked with, which means he just goes along.

Blue but the gov is a republican in moderate clothing who finally admitted to taking steroids and would take them again today (as he says with a whistle in his teeth).

It's true....our state is bloody red.

Rosie didn't mention that those 5 churches aren't just regular churches...they're those MEGA corporate churches...the kind that have JUMBO SCREEN TVs so everyone inside the compound can see.
Ow, my jaw. Are you serious? I've only been to Catholic churches, so maybe that explains why I've never seen jumbo screens. Now I'm gonna go to church and sacrifice some puppies on the altar while drinking goat blood out of the communion goblet.

There's actually a church here in Tulsa called Triumph, and all I can think of when I see it is that stupid dog puppet.

There's also one called South Park.

Depends on what you call red or blue. Montana voted 57% for bush but also elected a demo governor and 50% of the state legislators are demo with the demo governor as a tie breaker.
US Congress is one demo and two turds.
First time demos have been in control in state government in 30 years.

I'd just like to say that although I live in a red state, county, and city, my neighborhood is a very pretty shade of bleu.

Blue but the gov is a republican in moderate clothing who finally admitted to taking steroids and would take them again today (as he says with a whistle in his teeth).
Same here, minus steroids. But we're going to take our governor down in 2006.

Otherwise, blue state, blue city, blue school district, blue boss.

my city (rochester) is predominantly blue/liberal (highest gay per-capita next to San fran).
Minneapolis is the all-lifestyles headquarters of the midwest.

I was watching Jesus TV last sunday (I was REALLY bored at work) and some preacher dick was talking about how the Iraq was mentioned in the bible and the Bible also says Russia will become and ally to Islam...and will back Iran in the next war. He was saying some super fucked up shit to these large masses of (large) people. Behind him was a giant image of a plane about to crash into an oil refinery, Saddam, and an image of Jesus with bombs falling below him. He was preaching at one of the mega churches with the Jumbo TVs. Most of those mega corporate churches have them.....check one out. Go drunk or stoned...
Heh, I used to watch Jesus TV before I got cable. There was some program where this guy was singing about how he was the wood that Jesus laid down on. I laughed so hard I almost had an asthma attack.

I just got my bumpersticker that says "Proud to Live in a Blue State" today. Because I don't care if those cocks in the Hummer SUVs think they're hot shit with their Bush/Cheney shit plastered all over, they need to remember WHERE THEY LIVE. In gay-lovin', abortion-havin', liberal-ass Maryland. And I love it here. :)
