The Beastie Boys show at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico has unfortunately been cancelled. This is based on an emergency personal scheduling conflict which has resulted in the band regrettably not being to able to travel to and perform in Puerto Rico. The Beastie Boys apologize to their fans there and hope to reschedule this show sometime in the near future.

I just got an email from ticket-pop in Spanish and called them up to confirm that the show is cancelled....that's so beat, and I already booked my tickets to fly down...I might just go anyway and listen to Shake Your Rump all weekend.

:( for you. I feel bad, but hey maybe the concert being cancelled and you still going anyway will be a great thing. You never know--you might look back on this in a month and say that it was a stroke of good karma. You never ever know.

I hope the boys are okay. I hate to see the word emergency anywhere.

I am totally not thinking clearly right now so I hope all of this makes sense.

I hope the Boys can figure out a way to come down later, Weve never had them visit before and everyone from old schoolers, to rock heads to newbies were pretty hyped up about this one.

If you guys read this, It would make a lot of us feel better about being yuor fans if you gave some sort of explanation.

i dunno about MX, but here they started out originally with the intention of having only the floor of the coliseum on sale , and by the end of last week they had to open the first section surrounding the floor... that means it was going alright I suppose. Also, puertorricans wait till last minute (aka the day of the show) to buy TX for these things and Larry Stein (the promoter) knows this... hes been putting on shows for years here.

This has got to seriously be the most disappointing day ever!! :mad: I can't believe this! Although I'm really disappointed, at least I still get to be with family and my friends in PR :D And I feel bad for everyone who made plans on coming to PR just to see the show :( Even though this is terrible news, I hope everyone has a good time anyway while they're there and I pray that everything's ok with the boys.

I've booked the gig tickets but luckily haven't booked flights/accommodation yet. I was just on the orbitz website to book my flights when I thought i'll just check the message board-Good job I did, was a couple of minutes away from booking them.


I feel really sorry for everyone thats bought their flights/accommodation already. :( Snowing again in the uk-Was looking forward to some sun in PR.

so check it out... if its your first time here and dont know where to go or what to do that weekend now ;)

I really hope that the Beastie Boys, and those around them are ok. I'm concerned that something bad happened -- it seems to me that the Beastie Boys are pretty devoted to their fan base, and to cancel at this late date is likely to be something serious. In a way, I hope it is bad ticket sales because the alternatives are a lot worse -- health, family or friends. Hopefully they will reschedule these dates and maybe even add some last pageant dates.

But it's a huge bummer for anyone who made travel plans. However, at least they are some great locations -- I grew up in Buffalo, NY, and if I planned to travel there from far away I would be really bummed that I made those travel plans in the winter (and I like my hometown).

Let's hope everything is ok.
