My roomate and I started wondering the other night what people were thinking at any given time. So, we thought about how cool it would be to see all the search queries that Google recieved at any given time. He remembered seeing something like that on some site.

We looked into it - and Metaspy, this thing keeps track of what people search for on Metacrawler.com and refreshes every 15 seconds. We opened up both the viewers and started watching to see what people searched for. There was some pretty weird and hilarious stuff - and so we decided to add some of our own. Knowing that other people were watching this site to see what people searched for was our motivation for the most part. Here's an example of one of the things we added for shock effect.

When we were doing it there were a few pretty funny recurring terms...

Some guy just could not seem to find "12 yr old girls" and another guy just kept searching for "food." Some people are just really pathetic when they don't have anything in their kitchen.
