and im gonna buy some turntables and what ever else id need, what do i need just to play around?

im looking into a turntable , but other then that i dont know what i need, and i dont want anything rediculously fancy because for the most part ill just be listening to music, not really scratching

you need speakers, a receiver, mixer, turntables, headphones, needles, an amp and records. Oh, and all the rca and power chords. Have fun.

Final Scratch is great if you want to play MP3's / Wavs etc.
If its vinyl your gonna be playin tho id always go for a pair of phonographs.

Also dont get conned into buyin really expensive cabling for all your components.
Aside from your monitors the cheap stuff does just the same job!

Actually if you arent playing out an amp is not needed. Just get two turntables, a mixer, and the needed RCA cables/needles etc, and you can hook into your exisiting stereo system.

Also, get a CD burner. So you can burn your vinyl. Crucial.

Watch out, vinyl doesn't age well sometimes...
