finally got a proper copy of it after milleniums of searching. got it with evil empire for $25AUD which is the biggest bargain i've seen.

anywho. why is there no lyrics for 'killing in the name' in the booklet?
i mean, i know the verses are exactly the same but.. could've still put something down.

Hmmm, I forget why that is. I might look into it. Great album, the first CD I ever bought. Right after I bought License to Ill.

Wait... you bought RATT first but after LTI?

Ironically, LTI was my first CD ever.

So what is the actual lyric, "Those who died, are justified, by wearing a badge and you're clothed in white"?

Please someone, tell me, because I never actually found out.

New band indeed; a bunch of snotty, 1990s winos ranting about their so-called views. Not cool, by anyone's definition.

I thought 'Evil Empire' was the most hip-hop sounding record they did, but it is a close call between that and the self-titled.

well i reckon they make the only protest music that can be 'enjoyed'. in other words, they don't just emphasize on lyrics, but they all made good beats and tunes.

i might not agree or follow their beliefs to the max, but pfft, i'll still listen to their shit. \m/

'without a face' has been the closest rap song i reckon. on that album anyway.

DOWN WITH SONY!

I'm still on the fence about that, signing with Sony... just didn't make sense to me. I figure they got more exposure, and subsequently more effect.

Those killing in the name of lyrics are wrong.

It's:

Some of those who were(work, not sure) forces are the same who burn crosses

It's been brought up to one of the members before.

i seem to remember tim saying that it's because they wanted people to figure out and interpret the lyrics themselves...

i highly doubt its the record companies - they have many songs that are highly controversial

You aren't even mildly entertaining. You are like some sort of twisted version of the boy that cried wolf. You've been talking shit for so long that some day you might actually have an interesting insight about music and nobody will listen to you.

I always thought it was
Those who died are justified, for wearing the badge, they’re your chosen whites
or
Those who died are justified, for wearing the badge, of your chosen whites
as opposed to
Those who died are justified, for wearing the badge, they’re the chosen whites

I swear I hear a Y

Sandinista!, give up. Rage against the machine actually have substance behind their music, unlike your hollow 80s hair metal.
