I dig Veruca Salt, but I dont think that there are enough really good girl rock bands in this world. I mean the Donna's are decent, and of course were always gonna have Alanis Morisette, but I cant think of anymore since Joan Jett and the Blackheart's, and they really cant be classified as a GIRL band. but there's always The B-52's. What do you guys think?

The Go-Go's were amusing, but other than that, I can't really connect with girl bands.

Luscious Jackson was great. I wish they were still together.

I also still listen to the 5 billion bands Tanya Donnely was in, like the Breeders, Throwing Muses, and Belly. Also, whether she's in a band or "solo," I like Juliana Hatfield.

I guess Garbage doesn't really qualify as a girl band, right?

And the GoGos and the Bangles were the shizzle, I don't care what anyone says.

I think there is a girl or two in Ash but not the lead singer???

One girl - she's the second guitarist, and backing singer.

Her name is Charlotte Hatherly, and she is likely to be leaving Ash because she now fronts her own band.

It is sickly girly stuff, but at least her new video has most of the cast from Shaun of the Dead in, as the director of said film is her fella.

ArchEnemy (http://www.prog4you.com/Band_Interview--10-03/ArchEnemy2.jpg)'s singer is scary. She was raised by a pack of ravenous wolves next to the Hosenfeffer brewery

I love Ash, their stuff is pretty light but its just catchy and feel-good :)
