This was a classic appearance. They performed Fight For Your Right. Then were interviewed by Joan.

Yauch sat at Joan's desk, Horovitz sat on Joan's desk. And Joan sat next to Mike on the couch. :D This was a very funny interview.

Then the guys conclude the show with Time To Get Ill.

I have it on a VCD....I wouldn't have the slightest idea how to post that.

EDIT: I just checked and I don't believe beastiemania has any screenshots of the performance...as they did the Soul Train and American Bandstand shows.

We've got 'em done they just have not yet been added into the gigography...sooner or later they'll make it into the gigography with one of our site updates that take place every 3 to 4 days.

I thought Joan did a good job. She rolled right along with their humor. Yauch put her eyeglasses on and she just laughed. Yauch took her tic-tacs and Joan said they are only 1 1/2 calories each.

As 9thBeastie mentioned, we had the date in the temp gigography (basically because we still don't know the exact date in April it was performed, and we also don't know the venue name - can anyone help?)
Anyway, it's just been published in todays site update...

Hey Astro...I think the Joan Rivers show was taped in Los Angeles (Hollywood). And the songs they did were FFYR and Time to Get Ill.

According to this article. The appearance happened in January 16, 1987.
http://www.creemmagazine.com/BeatGoesOn/BeastieBoys/LayItDownClowns.html But the guy gets their ages wrong...so I question the date.

I do remember the Joan Rivers Show was on FOX network. Which was brand new at the time.

I have a friend that will be lining me up with software in a few days and then I will. I have to learn the software first so it may take a few more days. I will have them up shortly though. It will be lots of good stuff.

Good article. Working title of LTI : Don't be a faggot
This is the writer that the boys dumped water on in the LTI home video.
