i figure yes because they lay them for reproduction and not human consumption. if it was fertilized the chicken would sit on it until it hatched but if its not or she not clucky it just get expelled.
so yea i like eggs but everytime i eat them i think that and it kinda puts me off.

i know im a hyocrit but for somereason when i think about it , it just really turns me off. i had eggs before though and ate it.

but hey i figure we're at the top of the food chain for a reason. mass produced meat is bad but other than that i don't think its actually bad to eat meat just the way the animals are treated. i hardly ever buy my own meat cuz i hate seeing it raw but if i do i try and buy organic shit if i can afford it atleast i know its a little more healthy and humane conditions they were bought up in.

eggs ARE chicken period think about it it's the same as a humans period comes out when u don't need it... chickens aren't mammels so they dont grow babies inside them, but its still the same concept they release an egg, if its not fertilized it gets wasted. They're not laying them for us to eat u know. sorry to tell you.

i haven't had scotch eggs in years :( i dont think u can buy them ready made here. I used to work in a cafe and my boss made a slight variation of them and reckoned they were some lebonese dish and called them something different and im like wtf u can't fool me their scotch eggs! she don't own the cafe no more and not much chance of her getting to make me some now considering she's vegetarian. my parents used to make them occasionally. they're those eggs rolled in sausage meat stuff and breadcrumbs right? i miss them .

When a female mammal menstruates, it is not just the unfertilised egg that is expelled, in fact the egg is just the tiniest miscroscopic bit of it. Menstrual discharge is by and large the accumulation of blood and tissue on the walls of the uterus that, had the egg been fertilised, would have served to line the walls of the womb and help provide a safe and nutrient-rich environment for the developing zygote.

As a chicken's egg is also fertilised internally but as the chick does not continue to develop inside the egg inside of the chicken, there isn't the discharge of tissue.

So, similar, but not quite the same.
