Acid Help Needed

I'm putting together a song in Acid but I'm having problems with audio clashing together. Basically I have a lead guitar track and a drum track and every so often the two tracks seem to clash with each other creating a nasty distroted noise. When using Sound Forge 6 I managed to avoid this problem by inverting the guitar track but this made it silent when listening to it on a cd player. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can avoid the distorted noise?

It sounds like you have to many signals in 1 particular area of the frequency range. What you could try is using an equaliser plugin and adjusting the lower midrange and higher bass frequencies on the guitar track (turn them down them a touch) . Keep adjusting until you have something that allows both tracks to play without distorting. If you don't find a balance - just delete the plugin without permanently altering the tracks.
