3 the hard way Reference in SLAM Magazine

Once again I think i've found a Beastie boys reference in Slam (basketball) magazine in the editor's note...I'm too lazy to go upstairs and copy down the exact quote so i'll do it tommorow, i think I remember it sayign something like He (a b-ball player's name) rocked it three the hard way or something i can't quite remember...oh no wait I got some energy so here's the exact quote, it's in the second paragraph (i'll write the first two so you can understand it)...

basically he was talkign about how two players Ray Allen and Dawayne Wade were long overdue for being put on the cover of a slam magazine issue

nope sorry, I didn't, I guess i'm not as knowledgable as you are, that's what learning is called, nobody knows everything, now that I know that I will never make that mistake again...recognize :cool:

Dont sweat it homie.Most refrences or just general lyrics in the Beasties music have some kind of pop culture meaning to them.I picked this up during LTI days and have researched the things I didnt understand.There should be a Beastie Thesaurus.

I've been listening to them since 1986 and I still hear new stuff in the music and new meanings/references of lyrics.

ALso, I belive that 3 the hard way was the name of 3rd Bass b4 they b/came 3rd bass. I think I read that in the liners of the Def Jam Box set
