The internet is full of the rumours that the Beasties will perform on the next Pukkelpop festival in Belgium, at the end of the summer.
Who knows more?

my call is that the beasties just finished a 6 month tour, and that that's all for now... I don't see why they would play festivals, without having released an album. They did the "TT5B" tour. They don't need no promo. But then, let's hope I'm wrong....

Where are you hearing/reading the rumors? Are they from any good sources, like the promoter?

On Belgian websites. Do a google search on 'Beastie boys Pukkelpop 2005' and you'll see.

till monday it was announced the line up on tue.
but then no news....

Well...historically speaking, the Beasties toured the world more than once supporting LTI. They toured the world twice for CYH. They did the Lollapalooza festival tour and the Quadrophonic tour for IC. For HN, they had the In The Round tour and then scheduled the Rhyme and Reason tour with Rage (which of course never happened...but it was planned). Plus sprinkle in the TFC events. And technically the did the pre-pageant shows around the world in support of TT5B.

Let's just keep our fingers crossed. :)

I sent these guys an email to check if the rumours were true, and here is what they answered:

Ik hoorde zelfs al eens dat Elvis terug leeft en dat hij op Pukkelpop komt ...
Er zijn geruchten en er zijn roddels ... waar je alvast niet op moet voortgaan.
Wij maken geen namen bekend voor mei!
Laat je dus niet vangen door de wilde fantasie van anderen, geruchten enz. en wacht op de officiële persberichten van Pukkelpop

Basically he says that Elvis is alive and will perform at the festival as well (:D) and that I must not believe rumours.
They will announce the official line up in May and they will keep my preference in mind.

Guess we'll have to wait and see...
