There are very few movies I really want to own. I went a little crazy when I first got my DVD player and I regret most of what I bought.

But because of this thread, I found out that Hoop Dreams is finally coming out!!!! Ever since I first bought a DVD player, I've checked and checked for it, and I finally gave up because they wouldn't even give an estimate, and I about exploded when panning through this thread, and sure enough, it's finally it's coming out this May and it's on Criterion. (y)

I've only got a DVD player on my computer, so it's a drag to watch movies on it (I've got about half a dozen movies on DVD and about 20 music DVD's). Maybe someday when I'm really rich I might get a real DVD-player, cause I'd need to buy a TV with remote as well (I'm really old skool :rolleyes: )

Does anyone know if the original Cat People has been released on DVD yet? A friend of mine has been looking for it for years. Please let me know if it's available somewhere.

I thought the animation was amazing, and it fills in the story gaps between II and II quite well. I won't ruin it for people though. Rent it before you buy it though. I didn't but I am obsessed and I wanted to own it. I plan on buying Volume 2 the millisecond it hits the shelf.
