did you dig out all the inards and whatnot?
that is the one reason i will never cook a turkey! ishy, so when g-ma and my mama die off there will be no thanks-giving turkeys, or turkey dinners in our family!
but seriously...gizzards, hearts, and misc. other parts? did you have to dig them out?

Im fine with gizzards, the whole visual effect of the turkey neck is kinda kinky though
turkey is my favorite meat product
Id eat it every sunday if it weren't so pricey

(y) sounds lovely
but where on earth did you find fresh cranberries this time of year to make the sauce?

I bought two bags of fresh at thanksgiving time and froze one
cranberries freeze beautifully so it worked like a charm
I sweetened the sauce with honey too, Mmmmmmmmmm

If you made stuffing from scratch, you are a greater Jedi than I. Fuck that shit in the box is bad.

Oh word, good thinking. (y)
Once you've done fresh cranberry sauce, you're just ruined for the tinned stuff for the rest of your life, aren't you!
I do a nice one with orange zest and Gran Marnier.

I don't generally care for them either, but a few years ago I found a really nice recipe for making them with just a touch of maple syrup, ginger and cardamom. It's really yummalishuss.

That's about the limit of my culinary expertise as well.
