Interesting article on recruiting soldiers in the USA from the Christian Science Monitor. Link (http://www.csmonitor.com/2005/0328/p01s01-usmi.htm)
Parents are becoming more active in military decisions, they don't seem to think it's such a great idea to fight these battles. GWB will have to come up with something to either end these wars or entice young americans to join the military, otherwise it's going to get a bit drafty around here.

At my college they were giving away free T-SHIRTS!! All I had to do was give them some information, and possibly sign a few papers.

Not in Bush's name.... I first enlisted in '97 for college etc... The month I got out my company went to Bosnia..
Last August I began the reenlistment process in Seattle, for a medical, paralegal, or some other MOS besides the Infantry... not that the Infantry didn't do it for me, just.... Anyway, here it is almost April, and I'm still not in.... still waiting for the background check...
You have a very good point!!!!!

Just today on C-SPAN I watched my good friends from the Cato institute absolutely tear apart the proposals for increasing troop numbers in Iraq.
There is literally no reason why troop levels in the military need to be increased, what's realy necassary is better training and equipment.
The only reason more troops would be needed is for a series of wars in the near future.
But that wouldn't be that plan, would it...?
Would it...?
