Something happens April 1st (april fool perhaps, but unlikely). sources have reported that a smaller scale lolla has been planned. doing something like east coast & west coast shows, also making it a 2 day event similar to last year - but never happened.
Rumours so far:
Foo Fighters
Nine inch nails
String cheese
Beck
Secret machines
Mindless self indulgence
The bravery
Garbage
David Bowie
Immortal Technique
Chemical Brothers
who knows what could happen, be sweet if something actually did tho

Friend of mine in Chi-town says the Beasties are considering an offer to play. Regardless, I'm gonna be there for sure. They're doing a pre-sale ticket deal starting this Thursday where you can get a two-day ticket for only $35 frickin bucks.
I don't care who is playing for that price. It's supposed to be different this year (new producer and all) and already the bands being mentioned are off the hook. It's not a damn Clear Channel production anymore in sheds all over the country.
Chicago has always needed a festival like this. Outside, under the skyline for two days in the summer... f-ing right. I have a good feeling about this.

Awesome, it says much more. I see the Beastie Boys have nothing to do that weekend so far...
The Pixies and Cake make it worth the trip though.
