For some reason the [I] front-tag is still visible in my post, despite me trebble checking that it is applied correctly. I even used the italic button to make sure that I wasn't just being retarded, and it is still not processing it correctly for some reason.

The offending post is:

There are no known issues with it. It's simply [ I ] and [ /I ] (no spaces) around the text you wish to apply to.

I just tracked down what is now a "known" issue. The person I was quoting (En[i]gma) has the [I] tag in his nick. Until there was a [/;i] close tag ending, this problem didn't occur. However, as soon as there was a [/;i] (and the end of my italic line) it caused confusion with the I in his nick, and the auto-italicised nature of the quotes.

I'd advise a "no BBS tags in nicks" policy, and see about changing his nick to something that will not interfere with the formatting.

Ahh. To be honest with you, I didn't check the problematic post, because there are no issues on our side with the style tags.

We can't implement a policy like that in this version, hopefully vBulletin are working on it for future releases.
