KD Land all barefoot and buddahed out

and goddam you cant beat a Tragically Hip performace with Gord Downie doing his best "if robin williams were a rock star" style act

I don't like watching any award shows, really. But I find watching the Junos a bit like watching Canadian game shows, where the prizes are significantly less impressive than American ones. Or like Canadian talk shows where you don't even know who half the guests are. But that's just me.

The Juno's were in Edmonton last year. It was a HUGE hoopla here. However, this year I barely noticed they were around this year since they're in Winnipeg. ;)

The Hip a fine Canadian institution...did ya know Gord is playing the role of Ken Dryden in the true to life World Cup story....it's true....damn I missed Neil,hope he gets well quick,good on K.D for covering "helpless" (y)

I live in winnipeg.. It was a great weekend. Over 100 live shows over 2 nights.

Went to a Billy Talent concert. The best guilty pleasure of all time = Billy Talent.

Met feist :) .

Saw the Waking Eyes perform twice.

Spoke to a lot of people from out of town. Represented my city well I suppose.

Winnipeg is actually a fairly large city (damn urban sprawl).

If you want to make fun of Winnipeg, here's where to start:
-loss of NHL team
-weather
-poor roads
-high levels of violent crime
-murder capital of canada
-huge drug trade

the only thing we have going: our current music scene.
