Hey!
I was watching some dumb ass 70's game show on British TV this afternoon. And it had a round where they played some music, and asked some questions. It was a classical piece, and they had to name something about the dancers in it.
The presenter appeared to say it was composed by 'Ferdinand Herault' or something like that. It sounded french, but the presenter was being a twat and trying to sound all smart, And I didn't understand what he said what the title of the piece.
It was quite a recognisable piece, as I recognised it, and I am no classic aficionado, but I quite liked it.
The thing that was notable about the piece, was that the ballet dancers wore clogs whilst performing, and did some stamps in it.
I have tried searching for the composers name, but I have found nothing. I am sure it was 'Ferdinand or maybe Ferdinaud. And the surname was pronounced like 'Errow' like the French 'Herault'.
If anyone knows what I am talking about, or can help me in some way, that'd be great. I hear lots of recognisable classic tunes, which I like, but I can never remember what they are called.
Thanks.
