On Friday, I obtained Duran Duran's "Greatest" CD, just to get the edited versions of various songs. Woo, single versions!

The weekend led me to some eBay madness, where I purchased Black Sabbath's debut. Thankfully, I bought the 1996 UK reissue, which comes with the Evil Woman single, unavailable in the US version.

And today, I purchased Echo and the Bunnymen's "Heaven Up Here." Interesting transition from the post-punk stylings of "Crocodiles" to semi-early-Cure-like drumming and wailing. Neat stuff.

See? I live yet still. Viva hate ;)

Have you got any INXS yet? Last time I spoke to you I remember you saying that they were at the top of your list of bands to take a look at. And yet I haven't seen you buying any of their albums. I suggest you get kick (just for the amount of hit singles it has) and listen like thieves, they are my personal favourites.

Until you do so your knowledge of 80s music is bullshit

My apologies if you do have one of their albums

Sandy, when are you going to listen to The Jam? I have told you repeatedly, you need to hear them!

Well, they were around before 1989 so their music is immune

I think we can all just about predict sandi's dogma on any given issue

I've got "X", and that's only because my dad found it for a buck. I'll get "Kick" at some point (and some Jam stuff too, Rosie ;) ) later on, as soon I get the entire Ozzy-era Sabbath canon, more Bunnymen stuff and the upcoming New Order album.

Oh, and Roxy Music. Heck knows I need some Roxy Music.

You really need to broaden your pre-90s horizons.

Those arrogant cronies have enough cash as it is. Give some to Mustaine, or Brett Michaels & C.C. Deville. Now there are two chaps that can shred or party hearty.
