Line up sounds pretty good-better than the other festivals. Makes me even more annoyed that I didn't get tickets  Got through to the payment page but payment didn't go through, tried again but the tickets had sold out by then. At least I sould be going to V (stafford) and/or Reading

The key to getting through to any of these things (in the UK at least) is to always ring the ticket lines off pay phones. Due to a quirk in the British telephone exchange, a payphone will always be put to the top of the pile in case it's an emergency call. So busy phonelines can be avoided with little effort.

I'm not really sure why it sells out so rabidly nowadays. When I used to go in the late 90's early 2000's, you could literally buy tickets up until the first day. Now it's like a race to see if you can luck out...

Never knew that about the payphones! I'll have to try that next time.

It has been mad this year with tickets for all the festivals. I used to buy festival tickets only once the full line-up had been announced-sometimes about a week before. How have they all got so popular that they all sell out in days?

Has anyone heard anything about move festival this year? Wondering if it's being held this year as I've not heard anything yet. I know the local residents by the cricket ground at old trafford have been complaining about the noise from the concerts they've had recently so I'm guessing they're still trying to get a licence etc...

about 150,000. Until a couple of years ago roughly 250,000 people used to go, but about 100 grand of those broke in so the security is TIGHT now.
