Italian versus jewish....both so good....the itals have the olives,the jews have the pickles,the itals have the panini,the jews have the reuben,the itals have the cannoli the jews got the challah roll.....it's a fierce battle,enough to make ya fat!

hmmmmm....there's almost/sorta/kinda a japanese deli in the town I'm in....they don't serve fresh food but they do have some wild miso and gyoza both frozen ;)

I would have to go with Middle Eastern. Only because most of the deli's around here have an Italian name such as ... Lil' Italia, Pizzatalia, Pizza Italia, O Mia's....and so forth, but are owned and operated by people from the Middle East.

mmmmmm....mideast delis are good but middle eastern guy's runing Italian deli's could be a little off kilter...yes,falafel,donairs,hummus,mint tea!.....theres not one anywhere near my place though.....I still think I go with Genova's particularily cause of their meat case,salami,proscuito,panchetta,capicola,hot sausage...damn that spicy swine is divine!....not to mention pre-prepared osso buco and breaded veal cutlets in a little marinara.....it it wasn't for motreal smoked corned beef and saurekraut the Jewish deli may fade on me,but the whacky characters who work at both keep me very entertained...... :)

Middle Eastern delis are definetly delish.
But even the Italian one run by Middle Easterns are goooood. In fact, the one I used to work at had people that moved here from NYC say that our Italian Cold Cuts and Chicken Parm sammiches were better than most of the ones up there.

CHICKEN PARMESAN sanwhich! Ohhhhh yesssssssssssssss.....and a cold Morreti!.....I'd give up on the veal sangi(for ethics at least) if my local did the pollo parmesan! :D
