tdot, screwed and chopped is said to be popular due to the fact that since the music is slowed down you can focus on the lyrical content of the songs (which are sometimes 'slow' in it's original form) and the fact that the bass kicks will lower your sperm count a good 10%. the chops are nice as well as long as they're done right.
