that's all I can think about now when anyone mentions Limp Bizkit or Mr. Durst.

It's actually not TOO horrible. It's clear Limp wants to sound like Zach de la Rocha.
Nevertheless, they're still uber-gay.

i never hated limp bizkit like others do and i like some of their songs that being said this song isnt any good. i was kind of looking forward to their new material with wes back and all but this just isnt good.
on the subject of wes,,,,, his original statements on leaving limp bizkit were(straight from mtv.com) "Bells start going off, like, 'This is what it feels like to sell out,'" Borland recalled. "I'm enjoying all the perks of [Limp Bizkit], but I feel my heart is going black, because this is not what I'm called to do. The little voice inside my head says, 'You should be somewhere else. You should take the risk. You should let it go.',,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,"I could have probably gone on and still played the part of the guitar player of Limp Bizkit, but musically I was kind of bored.",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, "I went there and did the whole fame and money thing, and it's just not as important as making the music that I want to make."
thats some strong shit there but this new song has the same sound as previous limp bizkit music. he said he was musically bored but he's back playing the same type of sound, the sound that he said made him feel like he was selling out and now all that just goes out the window??????

i think people fail to realize how good that first limp bizkit album was.
that song sounds like that first album and nothing like the absolute shit they put out after that first ablum.
i like the song.
there is definatly a rageATM sound at some points in that song. but overall i think it sounds like what they brought on that first album.
possibly the cd is worth picking up if its all harder like that.
Trying to sound like RATM quite a bit. It's one of those "hey that's not too bad!" things. But it's Limp Bizkit we're talking about here. They only could have gone upwards.

i didn't click that link or read any posts in this thread, but tonight a friend showed me a video of this song. and. NAD JA HDAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH. yeah it's fucking awful. i'll admit that back in the day [1998-1999] i was way into limp bizkit and thought wes borland was pretty awesome.. but i came to my senses pretty quickly. anyways, from what i saw in the video, it looks like fred is: 1. wanting to be in rage against the machine, and 2. wearing a bandana.
..it was enough for me to just close out of it.
me and my friends couldn't even make fun of him.
he did it all on his own.
good job, fred. good. job. (y)

I don't know why I can't recognize this band is a piece of crap. They get me every time they release a new album.
Wes Borland is back and he clearly makes a huge difference.
I heard the new song the other day and I had the same reaction as Mr. Films,....pretty good song, sounds a lot like RATM,...but something's missing,......Oh yea,....Rage actually had a purpose and a cause to their music, IT WAS ABOUT SOMETHING!!!!
This is just the latest Limp rip-off, sounds like Rage, but there is no substance to the song at all........blantant rip-off,.....just like the Limp I know. I will not be fooled into buying this album like I was with "Results may vary"

And tell us whats your concept of something original.

First of all. Never compare RATM with another band. Rage is UNIQUE. There wont be another band like Ratm, politically an musically speaking. But if they influence another band musically whats the problem with that??? I dont think LB is trying to be like Rage Against, or Zac, whatever. I really like this new song and it sounds like 3 Dollar Bill, their best album. So stop judging a band as crap, even when you like their new stuff.
PS: Im not talking just to you dude. I just quoted you. This is for everybody.

That dodgy album with something about hotdogs in the title is on my shelf at home, and has been sitting proudly on a shelf gathering dust for 5 or so years, ever since I bought a copy of it for 99p off some snotty guy with ginger hair at high-school.

I like original bands cause i've heard all the rest. It doesn't cut it anymore. If you like listening to the same shit over and over again, whatever floats your boat, but saying that there are no original bands is just proving your musical immaturity and ignorance to REAL MUSIC. Listen to here it all began and you realise that most stuff that comes out and you here on the radio is shit. Hell even the Beatles did more interesting shit than what comes out these days 40 fricken years later. It's all about the money.
IF you did a little REASEARCH there are plenty of original bands. You just made an ass of yourself.
original bands:
the Go Team (more approachable than most)
Pan Sonic (freaking wierd)
Sufgin Stevens
My bloody Valentine
Kid Carpet
Bjork
Basically anything on BBC Radio 6's freak show.
As for limp bizkit, they're so so. I used to like them but went off them a bit.

everyone who is saying this song sucks do you think their first album sucked?
because if you do your biast, that first album was good.
after that everything besides break stuff and the rolling remix was horrible.

they tried getting fancy and tryed that rapping shit and it was just commerical bullshit.
if they can get back to how they started they wont be the beatles but theyll be decent for what they do.

i think it's pretty obnoxious of them to put out 4 albums on a corporate label while praising violence and decadence and then come out with this totally insincere faux-political shit. what the fuck kind of pedestal do they think they have? "imagine accepting the truth." how about imagine realizing that they're mtv-whores whose fan base consists mostly of mindless teenage stupids?
and yes, i know that a lot of political bands like rage were on big labels too, but at least they kept true to whatever message they had from the start of their career to the finish.
Today, I read in the paper that Fred Durst said--we will pick-up where Rage Against the Machine left off. Huh? Good luck Mr Foot in Mouth.
